Data Deletion Instructions

At SmartHosting Web Services, you have the right to request the

deletion of your personal data at any time in accordance with the

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

How to Request Data Deletion

  1. Submit a Request

    • Send an email to: security@smarthosting.gr

    • Or open a support ticket via the   

     billing portal: https://billing.smarthosting.gr

  2. Verification

    • For security reasons, we may need to verify your identity (e.g.,

confirming your account email or billing information).

  3. Processing the Request

    • Once verified, we will delete your personal data from our active

systems.

    • Some data may be retained where required by law (e.g.,

invoices and tax records must be kept for 7 years under Greek

accounting law).

  4. Confirmation

    • You will receive written confirmation once your data has been

deleted or anonymized.

Important Notes

    • Deleting your data will result in the closure of your SmartHosting

account and the loss of access to any active services.

    • Domain registrations, SSL certificates, and other third-party

services may not be immediately cancellable, but we will inform you

of any exceptions.

    • Backup copies of your data may remain in secure archives for up to

30 days, after which they are automatically deleted.
